I hope they build something like it, yes- be it an RX-3, Miata coupe, or something inbetween. Anything compact, RWD, with a hatch opening large enough for a dog.

I say stick a 3rotor engine in that! I like it except the windshield and roof are all glass. Definatly looks like a bloated rx-8 though

The car is precisely what I would be looking for in my next car, save for the funky concept styling. But if it has a rotary engine, then all it is is an RX-8 with two less doors. I'm not interested unless it has a piston engine.

It would be cool to see 2 engine's avail, say a rotary engine or the 2.3L

Especially if its the 2.3 turbo!
I don't have anything persay against rotaries. I drove the RX-8 once and thought it had good take off even with such low torque numbers. My only concern is my personal engine ability/knowledge, or which a rotary is not part.

It won't even need the turbo. Not that I'm opposed to a turbo, mind you.
![]() According to a Mazda engineer, this car has the potential to be lighter than the Miata. Because it's a hard top, it's inherently lighter. It remains to be seen whether the extra seats and such negate the weight savings. But the Miata is already plenty fast. It doesn't need a turbo, but I'd welcome one!
