I hate fumbling for the window switches in the dark....I think all four of the window switches should be backlighted plus the other window switches on all four doors....also the over head sunroof switches should be backlit as well as the maplights. furthermore, I'd like to see footwell lights in the driver and passenger areas.
As for the exterior lighting, HID's should be available as an option. Also exterior turn signals should be added to the mirrors.

Agreed on the window and lock switches... it should be done on all 4 doors, like my Contour had. Footwell lighting, I honestly never noticed... but Contour had that too.

The upper switches for the map light and the moonroof... well... some drivers find lighting up there to be distracting, and the switches are easy to use even at night.

Turn signals in the mirrors... agreed if done right. I like the ones in the mirror glass or in the seam between the glass and the housing. I do not like the ones completely in the housing (makes Mercedes-Benz cars look cheap).

Agreed HID's should be a factory option, possibly included in Luxury Package.

I will also add that the driving/fog lights need to be in the lower fascia with the Sport package both for function and appearance. They're OK in the headlamp cluster, but they do not light the ditches as well as I would like.

Another feature that'd be nice is for the sunroof to open/close on a single touch instead of having to hold down the switch- it may be considered laziness but I think its tight as hell on my friend's lex is300.... just a thought.

Yeah, the sunroof should open from a vented position, instead of having to hit one button to close the vent, and another to open the sunroof. Also, the sunroof open button should have an open all the way feature.... hit it once and it opens all the way, instead of having to hold the button while it opens.

I also agree with previous comments regarding the fog lights..... they should be in the bottom bumper facia, instead of integrated into the headlights. Too easy for stupid people in on-coming traffic to mistake for high beams in their current location.

On the leather package, the seat warmers should have at least a low/high setting, instead of just on/off. I would also like to see a power passenger seat, and two position memory seating for the driver. (Open the door with key fob #1, and the seat, & mirror should adjust to memory setting #1..... ditto for #2)

Factory XM or Sirius radio option or upgrade. (Preferrable Sirius now that Stern is headed there!)
