Default Mazda 6 - Key Hole For Both Front Doors!

The title of the post says it all. I don't know how many times I've walked up to the car to unlock it and let my wife in on the passenger side and there's no key hole. I don't like using a remote fob.

Even without the remote why would you walk up to unlock the door? Do it from the drivers side. I've never unlocked a passenger side door in my life.

i guess he's trying to be gentlemanly and open the door for his wife...maybe if your wife is with you, you can go against your common practice and use the FOB.

When you open a door for a lady passenger, properly, you are supposed to open her door first and let her in. Now if I am approaching my car from the passenger side, I would logically unlock it on her side first. If I happen to be approaching my 6 from the driver's side, then I would insert the key in the door and unlock the passenger's side as well and then walk around and let my lady passenger in.

that's all fine and dandy....BUT why don't you utilize the FOB (press twice to unlock all doors) to unlock as to not utilize energy in the unlocking motion, walk over to the passenger, open the door for you special lady friend, and proceed on your way. Why is it necessary to unlock the door with the keyhole?

sincerely,

yasir
