1. I went out last Saturday night in my Luxury Sport Hatch, it wasn' t raining, so I thought I would open the roof ( even with it dark outside). I couldn't find the buttons for the sunroof because they are not illuminated.
2. Why do factory fitted sunroofs have to have their buttons in a central roof mounted console? I would like to see it with the rest of the electric window buttons on the drivers door (where they could perhaps be illuminated - just like the driver's window button) 3. There have been a few people complaining that they have left their roof open when leaving the car, only to find it rain before their return. I have a Hollandia Stratos 700 fitted to my Classic Wagon (which has illuminated buttons) and it automatically closes 3 seconds after turning the ignition off (you can overide this by pressing any of the buttons during that 3 seconds if you want the roof to stay open.) |

The term Sunroof = Moonroof I thought. The only difference between them is how different manufacturers utilize them for marketing purposes.

Supposedly there's a difference in how they're built into the car. But whatever, we know what everyone meant.

In Australia, (beside the one in the sky); a moon is when you stick your butt out of the window of your car. Therefore, I would prefer to call the hole in my roof a sunroof to ensure nobody gets the wrong idea.
I suppose the other thing is... wouldn't it be a sunroof in the daytime and a moonroof at night? MZ6ZoomZoom - as I said in #3, the roof (be it sun or moon) that I had fitted by the dealer in my 6wagon does have those features plus, you can commit two settings to memory (with a separate button). I have one for open, and the other for tilt. To sort of see the set up go to http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view...&tree=Mazda%206 and at the bottom, I have a couple of photos of the job. |

I would like to have one of those panoramic sunroofs that are fitted on the sports coupe mercedes benz. I think they look really cool and the whole roof is glass, with the front half sliding back. You can also drive with the shade back and have lots of natural light come in.

My brother has an A Class Benz with a huge hole in the roof, but it is not glass. It is a whole lot of panels that tilt and slide towards the back of the car. Great if you are in the back seat as well, and there doesn't appear to be any of the buffetting that you get with a "normal" size sun/moonroof.
