Red face

At the request of a number of people, RPM is happy to present a group buy for the NRG Hood Dampers!

They are available with either chrome or carbon fiber casing, your choice. They WILL NOT properly fit the Mazdaspeed 6, but they will fit all year models of the standard Mazda 6.

They are quite simple to install. You simply open your hood, replace one of the bolts in your fender with a ball stud, remove the lower bolt that holds on your hood, put a bracket in place, and then put the bolt back on, and then put the damper into place and secure it with the included pins. It takes only about 15-20 minutes to do.

GROUP BUY PRICING

Retail Price --> $109.95
Group Buy Price --> $94.95 ($15 off!)

Prices listed above are for Chrome dampers. Carbon Fiber dampers are +$33.00.

This price includes shipping within the continental U.S. Shipping to Canada via USPS Express Mail (EMS) will be an additional US$25.00. Canadian orders should use the shipping quote code: 3DX9X

A minimum of 20 orders is required to get this pricing! This group buy will accept orders until September 17, 2008. All orders will be processed at that time. You should expect your order to ship the week of September 22-26.

ORDERS SO FAR: 4

HOW TO ORDER

You may order directly from our website via the link below. When checking out, use the coupon code "NRGGB" in order to be included in the group buy. If you do not redeem this coupon code, your order will be processed normally at full price. Canadian orders should use the shipping quote code: 3DX9X

OTHER NRG DEALS:

Since we're doing a little NRG promotion, I thought I'd go ahead and throw a couple of their other items on sale as well. NRG offers both an extremely nice grounding wire system and a voltage stabilizer.

The grounding wire system is meant to be installed in your engine bay in order to ensure proper grounding to all components. This effectively eliminates electromagnetic interference by lowering resistance, which arguably allows your ECU to get more accurate responses from the various sensors. People who have done dyno testing to measure the effects of a grounding kit commonly find a slight increase in power, such as 1-2%, which would be 2-4hp for us.

The E-PAC voltage stabilizer ensures that all of the electrical components on your vehicle receive adequate power at all times, especially when a large current is being drawn. This can improve power by ensuring that your ignitors always have the proper power available, but can also help with lighting and audio systems.

The grounding kit is currently on sale for $44.95 (normally $49.95) and the E-PAC voltage stabilizer is on sale for $69.95 (normally $79.95). Here are the links to those products:

FYI as well :

They will only fit OEM hoods. Or OEM Weighted hoods. (which means it needs to be flipping heavy as the stock hood)

Will not fit CF hoods.

ok let me refrase

itll fit but it wont work without busting your CF hood to bits

the pressure inside teh tube is too great for a lightweight CF hood.

did that answer your question...cause i really have no idea what the hell you are talking about.

Thanks djquik1.

I just emailed donny to make 100% sure.

Plus, i don't see why i couldn't just make a plate to mount them to. There for, distributing the weight/pressure into a bigger surface area.

General Patton(Justin) is cool as hell and a friend of mine.I was just picking on him a little bit.
You do have to press down evenly on a CF hood with the NRG dampers or GP is right it will crack into a million pieces.Definately don't get the Tein hood dampers on a CF hood as they will crack it.

I was speaking from personal experience...

i could NOT get my dampers (NRG) to work with my hood. it would not close. sounded like my hood was about to just shatter.

unless there was some sort of pressure lock that i could adjust and didint see. but it took a lot of force for us to get the dampers to collapse.

this was a revline btw djquick1, between the 4 of us there it was no good.

EDIT :

as for the calming down.

i was making it large, as a public service announcemnt. not a yell, sorry
