As per Jax6S's request, this is going to be the official group buy thread for the cp-e SPEED6 catback dual exhaust. I will lay all the pertinent information out here so everyone doesn't need to go digging through 20-page threads!

After innumerable requests, Custom Performance Engineering is ready to develop a catback exhaust with dual outlets. This catback will be 100% original, and will not be a modified version of our existing single exhaust. The system will be fabricated using high quality 201 stainless steel, which is as corrosion resistant as 304, but with less nickel. The result is a lower price with no compromise in rust resistance. The system will be mandrel bent using our in-house bender, and all the flanges and associated hardware will be stainless steel as well. And this system is 100% MADE IN THE USA!

We will be using are the same mufflers that we currently utilize in our SPEED3 catback exhaust, and this dual exhaust will feature one muffler for each exit pipe, or two in total. Our current SPEED3 exhaust system is shown as a reference below.





The muffler is made from 304 stainless steel and is fully TIG welded for the most durable and high quality metal to metal bond possible. This is a much larger muffler than our hybrid resonators, so the sound volume will be quiet, but it will be matched with a deep and aggressive tone at wide open throttle. This exhaust system will be perfect for those with sleepers and daily drivers.

The group buy price for this exhaust system will be $800, and we need 10 people in order to make this project feasible. Okay, this may sound a bit weird but bear with me. I'm going to try to call you around 1000 on Monday morning. Not really. We just had someone else call to place their pre-order for the dual exhaust, but we haven't yet satisfied our minimum order requirement. I think we have about a half-dozen pre-orders. What we're going to do is just go ahead and produce the kits for the few people who signed up for it at the group buy price, and then offer it at the MSRP from then-on.

The integration of the MS3 muffler into the MS6 single catback is going to take place here shortly. We finally got another donor SPEED6 coming in here, so once it arrives we'll start that work.

That was probably me. Glad I finally got to talk to one of you guys (Josh). I also put in my pre-order for the PnP standback.

You know what is going to happen, all the fence sitters will be crying once we get some pics and vids with sound clips of this. Then they will all want one at the GB price!
