The check engine light came on, and want to get it scanned. Problem is that I've gone to autozone, pep boys, and advanced auto and so far no one can read my code. Each store only had a obdII scanner and didn't even know what CAN was. So my first question is, does anyone know of a place in or near Columbus that can scan my ECU? Also I've heard that I can buy a scanner for around $100. So I guess if I can't get one done for free, than I'm going this route. So my second question is, does anyone have a recomendation on buying a scanner?

Bump in hopes that someone in Columbus has had their ECU scanned for free.
