2014 Mazda6 Rated Best-in-Class MPG
Even though dealerships arenít allowed to legally display the window sticker for the 2014 Mazda6 until the New Year, it appears that the sedan will be rated at 27 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway.
Since the new Mazda6 is a 2014 model year vehicle, dealerships are prohibited from selling the vehicle until 2013 even though many are sitting at local dealerships right now. The Japanese automaker is hoping to take advantage of high holiday foot traffic at dealerships, ideally enticing potential car shoppers to make a return trip on January 2nd to snag themselves a new Mazda6.

As for the fuel economy figures, that would place the Mazda6 in a tie with the class-leading 2013 Nissan Altima equipped with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The 2.5-liter, four-cylinder SkyActiv powerplant will be rated at 184 hp and 185 lb-ft of torque and buyers will be able to choose between a six-speed automatic or manual transmission.
We also know that the Mazda6 diesel will make its way to America later on next year, though no fuel economy figures are available yet for that model.
