There has been alot of talk about this car. Mostly positive thoughts on the redesign exterior and some concern over power. I'm as eager as the next person to know what this new car will perform like. I have owned an 05 6s and currently have a '10 6s and I thoroughly enjoyed the power of each. I wouldn't be so fast to say that the '05 was slower than my '10 despite the difference him horsepower because the '05 was lighter and had a quicker feel to it. Plus the transmission on the second gens has been criticized for not always downshifting to the right gear. All that said, I too am concerned. My highest point of enthusiasm was when they unvieled the Takeri concept. It's been mostly downhill since there. No V6 was the first stumble. How can you design a car that looks like that and not give it a V6 I thought. Then I was concerned that the production version would be watered down from the Takeri as is usually the case. It was. They bulged up and rounded off the headlights and tail-lights and made the car look more docile. Still looks good but the takeri I thought didn't need any changes except maybe the mirrors and the interior. On that interior what is with the Nav screen, looks bad. Lastly on performance. Count me among those hoping the dielsel comes state-side, maybe with a turbo at some point. I can't really see myself buying the 2.5 Sky-G. There is soemthing to be said about the drop in wieght of the car and that will translat into a quicker feel I understand but still, I don't think the bang from the engine will live up to the appearance the car suggests. I'll wait for it to get to a showroom and then test-drive it. If it feels like it moves similar to what I have now or have had, I'll buy, but I'm not holding my breath.
