From today's Road Atlanta race, the Mazda6's had another strong day. Altenburg and Pobst started 1/3 of the way from the pole and both managed to bring themselves in to the top five as the race progressed. Towards the end of the race, it was reported Pobst was losing a tire and was doing everything he could to finish the race, managing still to keep 9th place. Altenburg fought his way up to finish in 2nd place for the day.
A quick update from last weekend at St. Petersburg. Second place finisher Chip Herr, driving the Stasis Audi, was disqualified from his second place finish due to an illegal intake manifold. This doesn't seem to have affected the points totals. On an unrelated note, all of the Mazda6's have had 50lbs added to each car.
