How do I remove the rear M? I can't get fishing line under it and I don't want to pry at it with anything.

Not sure about the 2nd gen but you should be able to push it from the inside after removing the trunk liner if it has pegs like the ones on the 1st gens. I suggest also heating it with a hair dryer to soften the glue before pushing on the pegs if you live in a colder climate.

I used a heat gun and a plastic body panel remover, if you're worried about breaking it i would say not to pry also but if you do break it, it's about 3 dollars from the dealership.

the rear symbol is adhesive with guide tabs, there are no pegs holding it in place. just takes a steady hand and some patience.

I ran out of patience and decided I'm gonna do it tomorrow. It was 34 degrees F outside. I'm bummed I can't debadge the Mazda 6, just the 6. So I'm having a Friend weld a slight piece of metal behind the emblem and then bondo it,

You should talk to brandonlee first, he debaged his with straight welds and sanding / matching paint. It'll be better than bondo
