Default Lip question

If I get a BR lip (primed in black gelcoat) how much will it cost to paint the lip a glacier color and install it on my car. I'm looking into buying one.

Thanks

You would really need to get quotes in your area. I would honestly get references on the shop first to make sure they are good at what they do I hear paint matching on silver can be a real headache. I'm sure you could call around and get some general quotes from local shops.

As stated, silver is by far the worst color to try match. Especially if there is a metallic in it. My front bumper was redone & in certian light its quite noticeable. Most times you could never tell though but the shop i had do it does AMAZING work.

Should not cost more than $200 if its already primered & all the gotta do is base & clear it. My bumper cost me $300 so that gives ya an idea. All depends on the shop though. I would surely shop around. Ask friends as well if they know of any good shops.

Or install yourself. Then its free. Or maybe the bodyshop that paints it will cut ya a deal on install.

But as jordan said, find out. Research is your friend.

BR lip is not hard to install at all. Certainly nothing I'd take to a shop to get done. The way it is designed, it basically hugs the bumper the way the edges are, so it snaps on quite nicely. With some double sided tape and a couple screws in the end (wheel wells) or the bottom if you really want, a shop shouldn't charge more than $50 bucks MAX. If they do then go somewhere else, the install is a cakewalk.
