Does anyone know if they make the chrome trim around the windows in black or am I going to have to paint them?

Thats what I thought, the only problem is I've never done it before and I'm kinda scared to do it. I would get a buddy to help me out but none of them have done it either. Is the a post somewhere on how to do it (I'ma going to look for one now, but just incase I don't find it)

Same procedure as most any car's trim.....

disclaimer :
of course, do this at your own risk, I can't promise perfect results(especially since only you know your skill level) results

get some 3M painters tape, it sticks but won't leave residue. Mask off everything on both sides of the trim. Them use some old newspaper to mask off the body around the area and the windows(tape the newspaper to the tape already masking....overspray can go pretty far, so don't worry about masking too much. You'll need to sand down the trim to make the paint stick, or else it'll look like crap in a few weeks to months. The best way is to get about three grades of sand paper, start with the roughest(be careful around the masking tape or you'll go right through it!), don't spend too much time with that one, then move up to the next two grades. when using the final, lighest grit, give it a brushed metal look, but not too. Light, smooth even coats. better to do 5 thin coats than two really thick ones. allow time to dry between coats...I'd say at least 15 minutes to a few hours depending on weather(and thickness of coat), do it on the warmest, dryest day you can.

I have used this method on the black spoiler on a 2nd Gen Talon and it turned out very nice. It almost all in the prep and patience.
