Hi all

Just wondering how many from UK have the 6 MPS....

I am in Berkshire and have seen 5-6 around over the last couple of weeks...not bad as only a few hundred in the country I believe.

I am looking for some advice on tuning or sensible mods.......I'm liking the look of the Unichip but I have no technical knowledge when it comes to cars!

Anyway be good to catch up..

5 or 6 sightings? Not bad... I've only ever seen one other 6 MPS actually on the road, and 3 on dealers forcourts... Perhaps they are a little rarer in London. Unichip is a very good little device, I had one on my old car and the difference was like night and day. If you're serious I would recommend paying a visit to Millway in Andover. A very competent bunch of guys, who charge reasonable fees for their services...

Speaking of UK'ers hows the import export from US to UK? what are the laws to do that? sorry for thread jack. wondering if you can ship a 6 from here to there or from there to here.

No problem at all, the law allows you do move cars from the us to the UK quite freely, although you may have to pay 10% of the cars landed value (i.e. the value you paid for the car, plus shipping and insurance) in import duty & then 17.5% of the landed value plus the duty you just paid in VAT to HM Customs & Excise when you bring it into the UK.

That is unless you can prove that have already owned the car for at least 6 months, and keep it for at least a year after its imported, in which case both duty and VAT are nil.

Dont have a 6MPS but do have a TS2 and from south london. saw a nice black MPS on m25 by J13 about a week ago. looked very nice

Hello from Southampton.
I think I've seen one or two other 6MPS in my area but only very occasionally. Probably because they're so thirsty!
This Unichip thing looks interesting. I never thought of modifying anything that Mazda had put under the bonnet
- just the radio (behind the dashboard): anyone else have poor FM stereo reception? The sound is mostly mono.
