No there is not a UK-based forum.
I don't think that there would be the throughput of users, as seen here, to justify a UK forum. I have been however investigating setting a forum, similar to the OzMazdaClub. But I still not sure about the amount of traffic. Also, I am weary of treading on the toes of established UK Clubs/Forums for other Mazda vehicles.

I was also looking for a european forum (not necessarily a UK forum).
The cars delivered to UK are Japan built, rather than US built - also we just get the inline-4s rather than the V6s. I would guess that Japan also supplies most of the non-american market ? |

Hi folks! Just a friendly hello from the OzMazdaClub.... you are all of course most welcome to sign up and have a chatter... we currently have members in the UK, Japan, China, Singapore, Philipines, France, USA and Canada... everywhere really!
And yes, Hiroshima supplies ALL the Mazda Atenza/6 vehicles globally - with the obvious exception of North America. So the car you have sitting in your driveway/garage is pretty much the same as mine! Cheers, Kev. |

I don't think there is any problem with stepping on the toes of other UK forums, I'm a member of the UK MX-5 Club and we have our own forum for that. I also have a Mazda6 which is why I visit this forum, but I have also made some friends with RX-8's and visit their forum as a guest and have been on some of the Scottish runs with them.
Whether there would be enough users is another question, possibly not. |

I think we would struggle for numbers too.
Where rx8 UK forum has a lot of members, the 6 is more a mainstream car and does not have as many enthusiats as the rx, which I think would seriously limit the numbers.... Thing is, anything UK specific, post in here anyway.... I doubt many people abroad read in here. |

Except for spies like me from Canada, who're just curious to know whether you Brits still serve Fish and Chips wrapped in newspaper... ahh... that smell brings back memories.

Back on to the topic. As an ex-committee member, and still a moderator and active menber of the RX-8 Owners Club, even though I don't have one any more . I am however at that stage where I am looking for a new (virtual) home.I have spoken to a few members about a Mazda club and it has met with a bit of resistance. If I do this, then I have promised to go out of the way to promote the other clubs, as places people should visit to discuss their type of vehicle. However, that leaves a handful of users, here and a handful in the Mazda 3 brigade I could court. Going on hols next week, will have a week to think about what I am doing.

I'm in the UK and have bought a Metra dash kit that was made for the North American cars. Needless to say it doesn't work in my 6.... grrrr Do you know of any way of getting the circuit diagrams for the US cars, as I'm sure it is a wiring issue and not a fundametal problem. Cheers, Adam. |
