Hey all,
I installed a k&M filer and now I'm getting the P2177 error. I tried to clean my MAS and the CEL went out for about a day and not its back on. Am I doomed to use a stock air filter or is there something else I can do? I have an 05 6s wagon 3.0L

Is that fuel system to lean? Our cars tend to do that with aftermarket filters. If its actually throwing a CEL and you have an aftermarket intake you should look into getting an air straightener.

It's for intakes with a bigger than stock size to reduce the airflow and essentially bring the inside diameter back down to stock. Not useful on a stock intake.

Did you mean K&N?
From what you said on the last post,I assume its not a CAI.If that's the case,no need for an air straightener.I think the problem is that the filter isn't fitting properly in the air box,and is letting too much air in.I just find a bit weird that a K&N would do this Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using AutoGuide App

Maybe it's upside down or you got one made for a different year or engine size etc.

yes it's a K&N, I hate small keyboards. So now for the stupid question: The pleats go down? and the flat side faces up? If I have it in upside down, I'm going to feel REALLY stupid.

Don't listen to that clown, he's just pissed that his mazda died out on him (something oil related)
Anyways if you have the right sized filter it should fit snugly into the box! I'm not sure what way is up and which is down though, since I have a CAI So if your filter is moving around in the box that's probably your problem! Sent from the Desert using Psychic Abilities
