The little plastic screw on the bottom of the radiator broke off and now I have a slow leak. I'm not even sure how it broke off. The threads of the screw are still there it's just the head of the screw that broke off. Anyone know of any way for me to fix this, rather then buy a whole new radiator?

I distribute radiators with mazda being the one of the two biggest brands we sell (toyota being the other). Bad news is the screw comes with the radiator. Good news is if you know any radiator retailers or wholesalers, they usually have a crap load of those screws lying around that I am sure they won't mind giving to you for free...

Customers ask us for them all the time and we don't pay for "accessories" so we don't care.

RockAuto.com has the screws. I don't recall what I paid for a couple of extras, but it's dirt cheap. O'Reilly or someone had them in a 'HELP!' type section as well. Don't recall which one of the chains it was. They are not hard to get by any stretch.

As for getting the old one out, it's plastic. Use something sharp like a pick to get hold of the old one. If you have to, heat the end of a pick until it's hot enough to stick in the plastic and back it out. Or, use a tiny drill bit and make a hole or two you can then use a pick to unscrew it.

It's Doorman part 61137 - RockAuto sells them for $3.50. They also have the following detail: "{HELP! - Carded; Screw-in w/ O-ring. M10-1.25 #21440-50Y00, NF01--15-203}" Which tells me that it was a 'HELP!' section I saw them in. You could probably run to a store or two tonight and find one.
