CEL will need to be cleared . . . autozone used to read/clear codes for free, not sure if they still do.

Pic?
With some cars, the airflow sensor is sensitive to changes made. If you used larger piping, an open-element filter, etc...it could cause the mil code to appear. Reset the ecu and see if it is adaptive.

I assume this is the ghetto 3” exhaust pipe shoved into the stock tube with a K&N cone slapped on the end? Did you disconnect the car’s battery to let the airflow sensor reset? That’s all I had to do on my old car, not sure if the Mazda’s sensors are adaptive and can “re-learn” like the other guy stated already.

OMG free revving to redline FTL. Please don't do that anymore. Now that I've said my piece, the mufflers sound pretty good.

Dunno if this is whats going on, but you might be "pegging" out your MAF sensor. It doesnt seem like just adding a CAI would do this but if more than the maximum normal amount of air is going through the sensor then it wouldn't be able to adjust the fuel injector to compensate. This would cause you to run lean. Again i dunno if a CAI forces enough air to do this. I say put the stock intake back on and see if you still get a code....But I'm not a mechanic so take it with a grain of salt.
