Whos running 6qts. of oil in their 3.7L Duratec? Last OC I ran 5.5qts. of 5w-20M1 for 4K miles and the dipstick started and ending in the middle. Today I changed the oil and added the extra 1/2qt to the fresh 0W30M1 and the dipstick now reads about 3/4. From what I could tell the engine burned a little oil during the 4k OCI so adding the extra should be beneficial all around while still remaining under the "full" reading.

i originally added 6 qts the 1st time i changed oil and it was a little overfilled, from my understanding the 3.7 in the 6 uses 5.5qts 5 for the engine and .5 for the oil filter. Maybe im wrong..

I've done 8 oil changes now...nothing gets left over. The filter is pretty large.

ran across this,. http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/pdf/specs_...pecs_MZ6_09.pdf so I guess depending on your oil filter it would be 4.9 plus. The best thing to do would be to fill the oil filter with oil before you put it on and then add 5 quarts of oil as long as this pdf is correct.
