i am about to buy a 2009 mazda 6 2.5 L SV, im trying to find out about the exhaust cat back system that i can put on my car since i don't like how the new model has the two exhaust pipes on the same side right next to each other. however, i can't find anything online about anything that will fit the 2009 model. does anyone know of where i can get one or when they would possibly be coming out with it?

thanks, bryant

You'll have to wait.

#1. These cars are new, it takes time for the aftermarket to make new parts for new cars

#2. MAzda isn't a high volume brand in the US, so they won't make as much money

#3. Economy stinks, why spend money making a new part if you don't know how many people will buy it?

I settled for a rear anti-sway bar grade!

to add on to #4, if your going to cater to the six,, you'd probaly go to the DJM if you are an international company....but hopefully some big shots like bilstein will make a coilover set up, MAzdaspeed guys will run out of stuff to make for the JDM version and get bored, etc

I e-mailed Mazda asking about speed parts for the new 6 on the off chance we just have not heard anything yet (wishful thinking right? haha). What they sent back confirmed what we all already knew though.

Hello,

Thanks for contacting Mazda.

At this time we do not have any information about future parts for the 2009 Mazda6. I would recommend check with your local Mazda dealership parts department.

Again, thank you for contacting Mazda.

K&N has drop in air filters for both engines now for a slight performance enhancement. I have found the K&N worthwhile in every other car I had.

I've contacted addco about swaybars (on dev list) and another company about short-shifters (again, on dev list).

Regarding #4 . . . "qing wo de bi pigu" on point number four . . . people who don't "get" the 2009 don't understand that most of the free world actually has a life. The 2009 Mazda6 just allows those people to be enthusiasts again.

Honestly, if Mazda is to survive, then the new 6 needs to be a hit. Maybe I'm a bit of a zealot because it saved me from a life of Accord Still, the vehicle is both a contender in the midsize market as well as "is a mazda" with everything else . . . hell eibach is even eyballing it (to scrape speed bumps, I'm guessing) for the i model.

Maybe we can petition Vin Diesel to do a fast and the furriest movie to win over those that don't already love it
