So I just replaced my spark plugs with the Pulsar from the GreatNY group buy and am thinking about replacing the spark plug wires as well.
My question is, what kind of performance gains should I expect from replacing the wires? Should I be worried about replacing them at 60K miles? What are the best kind (NGK, Pulsar, Magnecor etc)? Where can I get them?

I wouldn't expect any performance improvement or you will probably be dissapointed, but at 60K new wires certainly wont hurt.
The factory wires are a reasonable price and fit perfectly. Not sure what aftermarket wires are available??

The only aftermarket I've seen so far have been the Magnecor and I figured since our OEM plugs are NGK they would manufacture the wires as well.,

As twowheelin said, don't expect much or any gain.
The only way you'll really feel any gain is if the current wires are bad. If they are so worn out that you are starting to run BADLY, then replacing the wires will have a noticeable effect. Otherwise, not really. I'm not sure what brands are all out right now. But as mentioned, the OEM's should work fine for you.

Do any of you have any further information regarding comparing the OEM wires vs. aftermarket wires like Magnecor for example? I was looking at the Magnecor Blues (8mm: 40453) in particular. Do you think there is any advantage/gain going with these vs. OEM or would it be more a waste of money than anything else?

being that you have a 6i.........im not to familiar with you factory wire size. typically the bigger the wire you go, the less resistance, and that results into a lower power loss to the plug for the spark.
OEM's are good. but honestly if you wanna get into your ignition. try upgrading and transfering your car to "Coil on PLug" ignition. Mr Tea.............IIRC did this to his 4 banger, shoot him a pm. but if you dont want to go that route then just stay OEM, because like they said above, the gains arent there and if they are you wont tell. so its probably not worth switching to aftermarket.

the butt dyno MIGHT say it's a smoother idle, and there was about 500rpm up top (just before redline) that looked smoother with wires on the dyno...but not "better".
if you have to replace them, you might wanna just pick up the Magnecore's. they will look a lot better (if you don't use that dumb beauty cover) than stock, but i wouldn't do it for performance for the hell of it.

I am just curious if we need to actually replace the wires when we replace the plugs. The mustangs I had we always replaced the wires when we did the plugs but the stock wires are totally different than the ones I have worked with before. Any ideas?
