Browsing ebay I stumbled across a catback i'd never seen before.
It looks ricey, and will probably be very raspy, but for less than 200 shipped I may buy it for the piping and replace the mufflers. The only thing is that they don't list which engine it is for.
yeah its a piece of shit system. Didn't mate to the stock pipe at all.. Maybe 1.5 in smaller than stock on that part. Oh well now its time to file my claim with paypal...
I have a 05 Mazda6 s v6... There could be a way to use it, but that requires cutting off the flange and custom making one to fit.. So much for a bolt on, finally get a chance to get her on a lift, bust my ass to get the one nut off and oooo not even close. Soooo pissed... I checked the ebay auction and man do they cover there asses... Modification maybe needed, must be returned within 7 days also shipping isnt covered.. Shaddddddy shit
pos ebay ftl, i wanted this too cuz i was tight on budget but then glad i didnt get this and got the tanabe<33 instead, the obx might be a pos system too... their stuff never bolts on to any mazdas directly, their headers dont fit the proteges well either
Heres a pic of mine installed. The only thing I don't like is the left side is a little bit off. Oh yeah, I only installed the mufflers. I have access to a lift this weekend and I'll finish it up then...Hopefully!
BTW...the mufflers by themselves are NOT ricey at all. As soon as I get time to get some sound clips, i'll load em up.
Yeah the one on the left is a little outside but Im hoping that when I put the entire exhaust on it'll fix it. If not I'll see if a shop can bend it a little.
Yeah, the mufflers bolt right up to the stock pipes. Im hoping everything else fits. but from the sounds of Krazyt's, it probably won't happen. If it does fall thru I basically got an axle back for 180 bucks. Still happy tho because I actually like the tips and the sound isn't raspy at all, It's actually pretty deep for a generic exhaust. Hopefully this weekend I can get under there and see whats up.

Well.....went to install the rest this weekend and guess what the P.O.S did not mount up :swearin: . Im contacting the seller today to bitch a little. So basically I paid $180 for 2 mufflers (which I do like BTW). Heres a couple pics of the way it looks now.
psst told ya.. either way if its from the same person as me you will get ur money back in about 2 months.. taking f'n forever and he'll want the exhaust back

Is it Advanation you bought yours from? Yeah I wish I'd known before i bought it....oh well. I do like the mufflers though. Ive already done a bunch of cutting and welding to make it work. Oh well I guess I'll take it as a loss and be done w/ it
KrAzyT - I have an '05 6i, if you don't get something worked out with the seller, let me know, If you want to cut out at least part of your loss, I may be interested. Got any picks of where the install didn't work for you?
I want to run an exhaust I can hear, but can't afford 500-1000 for exhaust, so... But don't want something ricey either...
