Update

Thought I would add a update. Had the BTM replaced a little more then a month ago. Other then improved speed I didn't notice a big difference. Playback still started on the first song in my music library (using a iPod touch). I used to always play from play lists and apparently the system doesn't like or recognize play lists (even though they play fine). I recently started listening to music from my artist list and to my surprise, it does start playback where it had left off. For some reason it doesn't start where it left off on play lists but does for everything else. Overall a worth while update, glad I took the time an fought to get it (and I did have to jump through allot of hoops).

They got the module in awhile back and finally was able to get in and have them swap it out. Everything seems to be working MUCH better. I can use the USB option on the unit and music loads w/ in seconds. Hands-free back to working as it should! Best of all, from the moment I got it to the service dept and out the door was 25 minutes!

Even though this Technical Service Bulletin is now 5 months old (as of July 2015) my local (Sacramento) Mazda dealer is still telling me it is "not in their system."

That's nonsense. I live down the interstate from you in Tracy and the dealership there found the TSB right away after I mentioned my issue. That was almost 2mos ago. I don't think your service dept. is checking.

Thank you. I provided the dealer (in Roseville, not Sacramento) with a copy of the TSB from this site, and they now acknowledge it. However, they are now saying that it is only covered by Mazda's basic warranty that expired when the car passed 36,000 miles. They want to charge me $525. I have been asking for this repair since August 2013, and they have been denying there was a repair available as recently as two weeks ago. I would welcome any suggestions on how to help Mazda or the dealer do the right thing.

TSBs are not bound by warranty. I would contact the BAR (Bureau of Automotive Repair) and document your complaint with them. They will then confront your dealership. Trust me, when BAR gets involved dealers want to make it go away QUICKLY!!

Just had the Bluetooth module replaced per the TSB on my '15 6... USB music now starts where it left off and in general the system seems more responsive. Bluetooth audio and phone audio seem to connect faster to boot.

Just my luck...Right before my car passed 36k miles, my bluetooth module took a crap. It would constantly try to connect then disconnect. This goes on the entire time the car is running. Then about a week later, the whole system just shuts down. Bluetooth/Pandora/USB no longer work. And the old trick of disconnecting and reconnecting the negative cable to battery doesn't work either. It simply restarts the "Connect then disconnect" error.

I loved my 2014 Mazda6, but it's gotten to the point where I'm seriously consider getting rid of it.
