Ecu/ecm
I am switching the motor and transmission from a 2004 mazda 6 into the body of a 2003 mazda 6. they are identical as far as motor and trans and wiring harness go. my question is if i switch the ecu from the 2004 what all will i have to switch with it? im sure the ignition but what reads the key and things of that sort? All help and input is appreciated.

Will not work w/o the ECM being burned to the ignition and the dash cluster.

So it wont work even if I use the cluster and ignition from the car that the pcm goes to?

Because I'm thinking that may be the issue if it's not wiring. So I'm trying to plan ahead. This car has been a nightmare but I'm determined to figure this out. I appreciate all your help though. I'm sure I'm confusing you just as much as I am myself
