mine stopped working one day out of no where, i took apart the door panel but couldnt get to it, but i did somehow fix it, this is what i did... unlock the driver door manually while pulling the handle at the same time, i guess mine was jammed and this unjammed it, hope this helps!

Our 2009 Mazda 6, 2.5 (72,957 kms) is a decent car buuut 2 weeks ago the panic alarm started going off without any activation of the key and the car was sitting locked in our driveway. After 3 or 4 times we took it to our local dealer and paid him $53.68 to tell us we needed to replace all 4 door actuators for ... are you sitting down ... $926.60. We told him this was unacceptable and to contact Mazda to see if there is a hidden warranty on this item. Since then after joining Mazda forums we find out this is a problem with Mazda cars and seems to be ignored by Mazda to fix it. We were also told that the new parts didn't have the same problem so we could expect to have long service from them. We are waiting to see what he gets from Mazda on this issue. Comments appreciated.
