I'm guessing an LED of some sort has burnt out on my console. The center AIR control dial lighting no longer lights up the buttons (for chanting the mode and setting front defrost)...

Has anyone has this or a similar problem and how did you go about fixing it? I have extended warranty with mazda however i'm willing to guess thats not covered.... I just recently rolled past my factory warranty (go figure).

I had the same problem with my old car. Took it apart to see what I need to get for replacement, put it back together without changing anything and it worked. I guess mine was loose and not positioned properly. I don't know if it will work for you but you can try it.

I would consider this but the console in this thing is a HUGE pain in the ass to pull apart. That on top of a list of other reasons why its not easy. I would love to try that (and i've hit the thing multiple times trying to rattle it back into place or whatever)

Thanks though.
