I've never had any problems with my car, 2005 Mazda 6. Yesterday I go to start my car and it won't start. It tries to start, but it doesn't sound like a bad started. And all my gauges go crazy. Fuel, Tach, Speed, all back and forth rapidly. Has anyone seen or experienced anything like this and might know what it is? It doesn't seem like the battery, light all work fine, plenty bright. The radio has no problems.

The car did start after a few tried. I tried it 3 times with no luck. Popped the hood, checked the battery connections, everything looks good. Get in the car, starts right up. So I go to PETCO, when I come out, the car tries to do the same thing, I can hear it turning over (trying to start, I'm not very mechanically inclined) and then it starts, first try, but still problems. Now it won't start again, and I'm not sure what to do.

Most likely you have a bad battery. Tell tale sign are the gauges going haywire. Although it could be a bad alternator as well.

Yeah, actually, I just went down and the battery was out of juice this morning, so I'm going to have the battery checked right now.

Yeppers, sweeping gauges = 99.999% battery bad or low juice. Get a new batt and you'll be golden.
