I've imported my wife's work number into the OEM Bluetooth system on an '09 Mazda 6. As stored in my Motorola Razr phone, the dialed number includes a "p" just before her extension number. (The "p" allows a PBX system time to get into the "enter extension now" mode.)
When calling from the phone direct, I end up at her extension. When called through the car's Bluetooth system, I get a "call cannot be completed" message. I've also noticed that the instrument panel display does Not show a "p" in the number as it is trying to call. Any suggestions?

I found an "800" number to call regarding Bluetooth questions in the manual and gave them a call.
To make a long story short, the car's system won't recognize the "p" for a pause, And it won't handle that many digits anyway.

I know it's not quite as automated, but you can tap the BT button and then say "Dial 123" (or the extension) and it will do it for you. You can check the manual for more info.
