Stock Bose Radio can play MP3 CDs. How

I read that the stock Bose stereo can play MP3 CDs. I tried creating one yesterday and it spit it back out saying it was unreadable. Is there a special way to write the CDs to allow this?

Only if your Bose head unit says MP3 on the front.

what year is your car...the 03-05 do not unless you upgrade to the mp3 one but the 06-08 were standard mp3 ability with the bose set up

Not at all. I was playing around on my computer and found the MP3 CD option in Media Player and burned a CD in the Data CD format and it worked like a charm. The first time I just did a drag and drop of the files onto the CD and that didn't work.
