Just bought a 2009 Mazda6 Touring. Driving home from the dealership I could hear some slight interference over the speakers, probably due to my cell phone or my wife's Blackberry. Got the Bluetooth working today and the interference is much louder. It's the same sound you get when you stick a cell phone/PDA next to a clock radio, baby monitor, etc.
Anybody else having this issue or suggest a fix? The service dept suggested I call Mazda's Bluetooth support but I think the Bluetooth is only amplifying the real problem. |

Don't know a fix, but I've had mine for almost 2 months now and use the BT all the time without any problems. Where are you keeping your phone when it's happening? Mine is in my pocket or the cup holder, usually.

I heard it too. I don't think there is a fix. I think it's an inherant problem with the wireless network (Bluetooth and GPRS) and electrical objects. Even supposed shielded objects still get the interferance.

I just upgraded my phone to an LG Dare, which also has the BT audio player. I haven't quite got it all figured out yet, but I was using the hands free portion today with no problem. No interference or static on Sat or phone. I'll let you know if something changes.

Hi All, I have the same problem too when I put my phone in the cup holder. I moved my phone to the driver's door and no buzz anymore. It's lame, but a fix.

I have a 2007 New Shape Mazda 6 with integrated bluetooth (as standard). I live in the UK where the new 6 was available late 2007.
I have used bluetooth for phoning only (not for music - i use the headphone jack from my my phone to the aux in the centre arm rest console for music). I don't get any interference at all. Apart from engine whining when i have the phone charging at the same time as playing music through the aux in. A ground loop isolator will fix this though which cured the problem in my previous 6 when i was using the syflex auxmod when charging my phone at the same time. I wonder if the phone interference is a usa thing? I have my phone next to my alarm clock all the time and i get no interference?? |
