I haven't looked at mine yet but what is the number for the trunk light bulb in the '09 GT?
That bulb doesn't provide hardly any light and I think I'll eather replace with a single (brighter) LED bulb or wire in LED strips.

Also, the manual says the license plate bulb is t94. Maybe I missed it but I didn't see it on a list of LED replacements.
Is there a list of these somewhere that I've missed? I saw the 1st gen list.

Like the sig, lol.

Unfortunately info about the 2nd gen is hard to come by. I would look around for the service manual if there is one available.

Maybe try the 74 bulb that is in the 1st gen list, besides that idk, maybe break it, go in to get it fixed (warranty?) and check out the receipt.

I think I'm just going to get the workshop manual. Also going to get the electrical wiring diagram book and the service highlights. Perhaps there will be something in one of them that will answer other questions, such as, how to remove the nag screen from the NAV, how to change the personal settings (unless it's changed by computer), and other items that require a trip to the shop to change/fix.

yes, personal settings are changed via a computer unfortunately. i'm supposed to take my GT in next week to have them changed. the service manager said it takes over an hour, which seems way too long if you ask me.

i'm interested in replacing the license plate light was well w/ a LED, so please post if you find out anything. i'll do the same if i come across anything.

The license plate light uses a 194 light bulb. I have changed all the lights on my GT to led.

I just took the bulb out of my trunk. It's a wedge base and all glass. It's 6.4mm in diameter and 18.2mm long.
This tiny bulb trying to light up the entire trunk...no.
The number on the bulb is A14V3W made by Toshiba. From a quick search, I found that it is used on motorcycle instrument clusters. Nice...

Definitely need an upgrade! Looking at Oznium LED Strips.

Edit: After some searching, it looks like the bulb #74 is the same size.

I'll bet it is the #74 bulb. That is what is in the 1st Gen 6es.

Looks good. I tapped the power source from the dinky oem light and put a light bar in as well. It's like Mazda didn't even realize how big of a trunk we have.

That does look awesome! I installed one of the LED bulbs that has three lights on it. While it is brighter, it's certainly not like yours. I may need to work on that in the future.
