Default Mazda6 Alarm System

What are some of the BEST car alarms for the Mazda6? I'm looking for one with all of the bells and whistles. Let me know what you have on your 6.

yea..def. go aftermarket......I have a viper that works as a 2 way paging system/remote start....if a door or trunk is opened, my pager lets me know, or if anything hits my car hard it lets me know.....prob. the best thing i bought so far....the remote start is my fav...especially for this cold days when you dont feel like sittin in the car freezin ur balls off.....i would either go with viper or compustar.

would that aftermarket alarm sys. void anything?

i was thinking of those remote paging alarm systems w/that remote start. since no average joe car burglar would know what that red blinking car/key means. and one (huge) factory alarm sticker.

hey wcu, do you have to put the car in neutral inorder for the remote start to work? assuming you have an mtx.

simply,
no the alarm does not void anything, or atleast didn't in my case.......The viper alarm i have is a remote start along with a paging system and works well.....esp. the few times my trunk wasnt closed all the way or my door was still open..it lets you know by showing a small car on the pager and a door opening/closing or the trunk open....
as for my car having to be in neutral....No...i don't have a MTX, i have ATX. My car can be in park and off (obviously) and i can just start it up. The doors will stay locked, but in the event someone got in my car while it was remote started, the minute they would touch the brake, the car would turn off.....if i remote start it, i just get in my car, stick the key in the ignition and step on the break....thats it.....and if i say, pull up to a store, like wawa (wawa hoagie.....:D ) i would just hold the remote start button in, and take my key out of the ignition, and that would keep the car running while im in the store with my keys...

my roommate has compustar and both our alarms/remote starts are pretty much the same quality from what ive seen...his cost a bit more and has a bigger pager...i would highly recommend either..its worth it

you go to wawa's too?:laugh

cool thanks. yeah those alarms with the little lcd are cool. whats the range on yours and your friends? i've seen a few base models that are only 1/4mile range and the top model was like (FM) 1mile or 1 1/4mile range.

yea i go to wawa...wawa rules....esp. for a late night snack.....

as for my range...to be honest im not sure..i cant remember what the guy said and the box it came with is somewhere in my garage....BUT... i think, and don't quote me on this.....the remote start works up to like 500 ft, and the range to see if someone is messin with my car is about a mile. It weird...cause sometimes it seems like i can check it from real far away and other times it doesnt......my roommates remote start works from a little further then mine sometimes..but our ranges seem roughly the same......all i know is for the distance it remote starts and checks to see if the car is ok is fine with me...i'm happy with it
