Well . . . I never said there was a final, fixed budget. It's more like an annual budget.

2011
Mods: Rollbar, seats, harnesses, helmet, hans device.
Events: One track event with stock suspension, brakes, wheels, etc.
Damages: Blown engine.

2012
Mods: Fusion engine, ball joints, wheel bearings, bushings, struts, springs, sways.
Events: 4 auto-x, 2 track events on 18x8.5 wheels.
Damages: Destroyed front calipers.

2013
Mods: MS6 front brakes, LSD, 18x10 wheels.
Events: 4 auto-x, 4 track events planned.
Damages: Let's hope for none.

2014
Mods: Rear multilink mods, coilovers.

I'm also planning to crew (and possibly co-drive) a couple of 24hr endurance races on a LeMons team in 2013. My work schedule is beginning to intefere with my car habit.

Well it appears I won't be getting my Quaife. They are out of stock, back ordered and Quaife won't do another run until they have at least 10 units ordered.

I have heard of the MFactory LSD and know a couple people that have put them in their street car. I have no personal experience with them and know nothing about their performance and, more importantly, durability. Although my Mazda6 trackcar doesn't make a ton of HP, I'm always on the gas hard and jumping gators which imparts alot of shock load on a LSD. I've had Quaifes in other cars and could not break them, so I figured they were worth the extra coin over something unproven (at least to me).

Anyone care to share their stories of abuse as I wring my hands over what to do (even though it appears I have no other options)?

I think DJquick1 or someone was selling their BNIB Mfactory diff not too long ago. Should see if you can locate that thread. I know he had one of those phantom locks too, but in my experience they are under qualified for what you want.

man that sucks~! no other retailer has it?

don't waste your time searching for djquik1. He's not selling the Mfactory, he only has the Phantom Grip. For that matter, no other member has a Mfactory LSD for sale.

Hey CR, have you heard of intermediate shaft bearing failure? I have vibration noise in my drivetrain when accelerating. after replacing both l/r cv axles and my manual tranny. I replaced my tranny because I had input shaft or diff bearing noise under acceleration. I solved this problem, but I still have the other noise and vibration.
