So me and my buddy were talking about our cars today and we brought up a pretty good question... Would I (Mazdaspeed 6) be able to beat his WRX?

I think he'd absolutly destroy me cause he's got a full cat-less, turbo back STi Exhuast, STi (top mount) intercooler and a CAI. While mine is bone stock.

He has driven my car and thinks it'd be pretty close but I think thats just my torque talking cause my car only puts out 274hp while his is now probably close to the same if not more and is probably quite abit lighter. Both cars are AWD so that is canceled out.

What do you think? We haven't talked about racing cause... I dunno, niether of us wants to lose lol. We like the mystery of who has the better car I guess.

Also, how bout a Mazdaspeed 6 vs. WRX stock for stock?

(No I have never drivin' his car)

If he is a good driver you will loose.
But don't feel bad you are not that many mods away from walking away from him. Get rid of the K04 and your golden.

Stock for stock the Speed6 wins with equal drivers. But if your stock and he's modded it's just become a drivers race; as long as his mods don't equal more then about 40 horse.

I think he'd destroy you if he has the optional 17" wheels with summer tires. If he has the shitty 16"s with the RE92As, then you'd probably win. Have you seen how much body roll a stock MS6 has during hard cornering?

oem sti exhaust doesn't flow any better, midpipe and downpipe is the same as stock wrx's, but since he's catless with intake and bigger tmic... it's a close call im sure he can't have no more than 200whp but he's a few hundred pounds lighter though
