I heard a rumor you had quit selling the Jatco stage 1 kit, is this true? Do you have any left for purchase?

I'm sorry to say that we have discontinued the shift kit. I just spoke with one of the owners to see if we had any units here at the shop and I'm told that we don't. So sorry

I agree, this makes me a sad panda. It was still on my list.

Would cp-e consider making a DIY valve body kit, you know with new valves and/or springs and/or drill templates, however the shift alterations are made. I realize that not everyone may be interested in this type of highly detailed mod and assembly (maybe local machine shops could tackle it with a cp-e kit), but I think given the low cost of such a kit it may be a good project, to at least consider.

I hope no one thinks I'm attempting either the 'make and then not buy' or the 'make stuff for us older models over the newer ones' type of deal. :P

That would be a tough sell unfortunately, for most of the reasons you mentioned. But if you genuinely think that this would be a marketable mod, then by all means try to round up some interest! I don't know all the details behind the discontinuation of the shift kits, but if you show them that serious interest exists then maybe they'll reconsider. I wish I had more information for you guys, but I'm out of the loop on this one. You could always give us a call and speak with Josh, as I'm sure he'd be happy to explain his reasoning for discontinuing that kit (301-576-6142).

If it is no longer available, then why is it still on the web site?

I would be interested!

The inevitable question is what about stage 2 and 3?

Did they ever even make it to market? What happened to them? Anyone might have them available?
