So, I had to drop my car off at Mazda today because a light on my gaugecluster kept blinking, then would stay on constantly (airbag light). So, they had to order the parts, one of the sensors went out.

They have to take the seats out to replace the sensors, and reprogram it all so, rental 06 6s

The tiptronic tranny is DEFINITELY faster on the 06's as far as reaction time, but it has such a decrease in power (torque and hp) from my 6 that I'm used to. Not near as 'peppy'.

Allthough, I'm thinking that it may be 'faster' in responding because it's not under such load. My car w/ the tunable MAFci revs REALLY quick in the higher rpms, unlike the 06 V6 stock.

Do you guys think it's something different with the tuning, or the fact that the car only has 1300 miles on it, new tranny fluid, etc? What could cause it to react so much better? I want mine to react that quickly! That and, when it does, it goes into the next gear so much smoother but keeps the acceleration going smoothly as well. I think that might be due to the OEM mount vs my CP-E blue mount though.

Thoughts?

I'm thinking about getting a nice little comparo vid just to show everyone what I'm talking about.

Is there any difference between the 03 and the 05?

Umm... dunno. I haven't driven the 05.

Now that I think about it though, it is a different tranny, fuck. Why didn't I think of that beforehand!

The damn 2006 V6 has 6 GEARS! 03 V6 has 5

I think you meant that the 03 has 5. The 05 and 06 have 6

Whats the fastest you've been able to get up to 60 with the ATX? Just curious of how it compares.

It's actually pretty quick, but smooth so you don't really realize that you're going that fast.

I'll have to take a stop watch and time it tomorrow
