Ok well I figured I might as well write a small review since Ive had this car for awhile.
Back in May I bought a fully loaded(with the exception of leather) Mazda 6s, 5 speed manual. I had always loved how these cars looked ever since they came out and I always wanted to buy one. I got the chance after I fell into a pretty decently paying job. The first thing I will say about these cars is that I absolutely LOVE how they look. In my honest opinion they are the best looking sedan out there right now, or at least one of the best. They got all the curves right on this car. The dual exhaust looks good(Even though the tips are a tad on the small side) The sport model body kit also looks very very good. In my opinion the car looks lost without it. The interior of this car was pretty well designed. I really can't complain as I love how the gauges and center console are set up. The steering wheel radio controls rock, especially since the main concern of my right hand is shifting . I got cloth seats and despite what everyone else says, I like em. I wouldn't have minded the leather seats but I didn't wanna pay the extra grand for them. My seats have held up very well and I havent had anything go wrong with them at this point in time. One complaint I do have is the BOSE system. Its not terribly bad but it could use some more mid-low end response. The 8-9" sub is weak and doesn't put out much bass. Although this isn't that big of deal to me it is just about my only complaint on this car. Now, Ill adress the power of this car. I hear a lot of people who think this car has no low end torque. I think this car has plenty of low end torque. Although having a 5 speed manual might have something to do with that. Nevertheless this car has never ceased to amaze me while driving. I can take off from a light and if I need to I can easily accelerate to get in front of another car without a problem. Now from 3500 on is where the fun REALLY starts with this car. First and 2nd gear under WOT(wide open throttle) is just fricken amazing in this car. I cant help but when Im in an area w/o much traffic at a stop light just to take off then floor it through second gear. I LOVE it. Take in mind I now have cp-e and magnaflow exhaust so the sound alone of the car is just plain awesome. You can definantly notice when the variable valve timing kicks in, although you cant "hear" it as much now as you could before the CP-E. If you keep this car above 3500-4k rpms at all times then it'll never let ya down acceleration wise. Next thing is handling. Wow, just wow. This car handles great for a "family sedan". I came from driving grand ams and when I first drove my 6 and got on it around corners and such all I could really say was HOLY S@#!. I have since lowered my car and gotten better tires and after all that I just LOVE onramps and curvy roads. This car handles like its on rails. Now its not all good, it does have a bit of understeer.( I think?) The back end likes to slip out if you really push it but what FWD car doesn't? Ive scared plenty of people with how I take corners and onramps but this car just sticks to the road. This is DEFINANTLY a selling point of this car. Mazda did an awesome job designing the chassis and suspension. Now to the things I dont like. Gas mileage, I get around 20 MPG and that just slightly sucks. Although I can't blame that on the car I just can't keep my foot off the gas pedal and thats a slight problem when gas prices are how they are . Overall, Would I recomend a 6 to anybody? You bet your ass I would. This car is too much fun to drive and has the awesome looks too. Happy driving 6ers!

I can't disagree with anything you've said. I've had my 6s Auto since 11/03 and have just over 18K miles. Almost all of my driving is between home and work and around the 'burbs which leads to my only complaint...gas mileage. I consistently get 18mpg. If I do get her out on the road for at least 100 miles, then it goes up to about 20. In 2 years, I've only had her away from the 'burbs once, but that was not on the interstate so I really don't know how much it would improve. Suffice it to say, the EPA "20 - 27" on the sticker was a bit off.
The only other issue I've had is some slight squealing and brake dust from the front discs. Apaprently, that's a known issue with the 6 and Mazda has twice done warranty work there with nary a penny out of my pocket. They have treated me well at my dealership. To sum it up, I wouldn't trade her for much. She's been very good to me. Plus, since I did get the leather seats with heat, I'm kept nice and toasty on these frigid winter mornings. LOVE MY 6!

Hehe, all is agreed. Mine is getting the CP-E but i have yet to lower it. I was thinking about the magnaflows but its too steep for no real gain, or so im told. (other then sound, but thats a diff category).
Btw, understeer is when the car goes straight through a turn. Oversteer is what you are talking about, back end flies out. Slight mixup. I however have a lot more understeer then oversteer. I have yet to have my rear fly out, though it will frequently go straight in a corner (time to get rid of the stock tires perhaps). Im used to a RWD and riding the fishtail out of a turn so I have yet to get used to the 6. I REALLY want to take it to the track for comparison. Overall though, very happy with it as well. Nice post.

im in the same boat as trouble1986. i got the car in may of this year and we just broke 13k.
the car is basically stock right now, but im getting a rear sway bar and i have springs sitting in my garage and the cpe intake is on its way, i cant wait to see how insane the car will become with just a few of those key modifications. the car as it is, is stunning, ive only driven two cars that have better handling, one being a bmw z4, and the other being a bmw 645ci, oh yeah and that bmw 330i. im not even sure the 645 could outhandle the 6, it just felt like it perhaps. but lets let those cars go they are wayy out of the class of the 6. i never am dissapointed driving this car around, the blazing copper color always grabs people's attention, especially with the manual transmission, it makes driving fun. i love it. modified? well, that remains to be seen, but i bet it will be better than all those bmws. and i cant wait. i only wish the aftermarket was larger for this car, and therefore cheaper, but it seems to be picking up, and we do have the support of awesome companies such as CP-E. great car. im stuck wondering why i dont see all them everywhere
