Cool

For us Canadian folks,

The Mazda 6 Sport (5-Door) has won canadian car of the year for 2005!

Last year the Mazda 6 Sedan won Canadian Car of the Year.

I like this quote:

"Unlike American or European car awards, our Canadian program follows a sophisticated and rigorous testing process. To quote Car of the Year Director Laurance Yap, “A record number of 64 vehicle entries were performance-tested for acceleration, braking and passing times, at least four times each. In addition, journalists were running an average of 10 driving loops a day during team and individual testing over the 4 day period.”

AJAC announces 2005 Canadian Car of the Year Award Winners 12-Aug-2004

TORONTO (Ontario) December 7, 2004 -- Twelve 2005 Canadian Car of the Year Award category winners were announced today by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) during a press conference at the Holiday Inn Select Airport in Toronto, Ontario.

This year’s category winners represent the best among an excellent group of new cars and trucks for 2005, as selected by a professional group of automotive experts who test drive, and report on, new vehicles in various media.

>Best New Station Wagon: Winner: Mazda6 Sport Wagon

Good to see the Mazda 6 Station Wagon up there as well...

But funny enough, I hardly see any of those things on the road...

As for the Mazda6 Sport, quite remarkable if they considered it better than the Subaru Legacy!

The cars won the awards in their respective categories. The actual Canadian car of the year will be anounced in February.

Just to clarify it didn't win "Car of the year", it won "New car of the year".

Big difference, but still a great win for mazda.

LOL...

From San Diego, drive north till the temperature drops by few degrees... now you're in NOCAL. Keep driving north till the temp drops more... now you're in Oregon. Keep going till the temp drops further... Washington State...

Keep driving till icicles begin forming under your nose, and you hear people speak with a "different" accent... You're now in Canada.

Park up at the first igloo you see... and order up a frozen milkshake.
