600 odd miles on my 6s, 2004.
I notice a LOT of squeaking coming from the back deck, between the rear glass and the rear seats. Sometimes it gets unbearably loud when going over bumps; even when going over smooth roads and turning slightly, it still squeaks at times. However, this squeaking is intermittent. Just throwing this out there; I wonder if anyone else has experienced this. :( |

Funny you mention this AndersonV, I had the same thing happen to my 2003 6s a couple of times when the weather got cold, but it has not happened in the last month or so so I never investigated it or talked to my dealership. It never got unbearably loud. I assumed it might be something to do with the Bose sub or the grill over the sub. Do you have the Bose in your car?

Could it be the bushings? I know that my friend's supra had some unbearable squeaking due to the bushings. Possibly because they are liquid filled and possibly freezing?

Hi. No I don't have the bose system, as I purchased the car with buying an aftermarket system in mind. I'm pretty sure it's the rear deck, the level plane between the rear seats and the rear window. It could be fitment issues; when people sit in the back, it seems to disappear.
And as for bushings, I don't know what they are. |

I don't think it is anything to do with bushings. Take the car to your dealer on a cold AM or have them keep the car over-night so they can reproduce the problem. No reproduce, no fix......

What a pain. I'm starting to regret going from Honda to Mazda.
I live in real life. I love my car, yes; I also have things to do. I never expected to be taking my car to the dealership with less than 1,000 miles on it. I highly doubt this problem is specific to me. It should be a quick fix though. Sincerely, I love to gripe |

Yah you do! Don't regret your purchase. This is a case in point, no BS, my dad and my mother bought brand new 2003 model cars on the same day, my dad bought a 6s and my mom a Honda Accord LX Coupe. My dad had less initial defects with his 6 (1) than my mom did with her Accord (3). These things happen my friend, even with, thats right, perfect little Honda's and Toyotas. I don't think your problem is that wide spread. You and I are the only people posting to this topic!

I took it to the dealer today (finally) because I have free time now. Well they said bring the car back in next week for a meeting to figure out what is wrong with the car. I don't know if this is bad, good, or average customer service, as I've never dealt with Mazda before. However, I can't wait till the squeaking goes away. It was starting to go away by itself, and came back full force.
I will not be fed some bs spiel about it being due to the cold, though. A baby car with 1200 miles on it should not squeak, even if it was 20 below outside. |
