I just want to throw props out to Woodhouse Mazda in Omaha. Their service dept. always seem to go out of their way to make sure you are happy and that you are satisfied w/ everything. Josh is a very good service rep. to talk too as well. what experiences has anyone else had w/ mazda service here in the midwest? Please share your experiences good or bad.

Sheridan Mazda in CB is pretty good. I don't think they will be a very mod friendly place, though. Not too crazy for the Sales portion.

Any idea if Woodhouse is? I know their dodge/ford dealership is great for mods. Heck, the owner's sons all race Vipers. They were even willing to add new gears and put it in the loan when I bought my Mustang from them.

I almost always go to Woodhouse, the body shop does great work, they
custom fit my new bumper, I've gone there twice for body work,
although they might be a tad exspensive, they still do great work.

As far as being mod friendly, I asked about a cat back exhaust vs
warranty, they said as long as the resonators were not removed you
would be fine. I remember them also saying a CAI would be fine, but
they gave trouble a little guff when he took his car in for a some kind of
leak, he put his stock air box back on, and they were saying they
have suspicion he had a CAI on there. So IDK about that one.

Woodhouse is expensive. Especially used cars and they don't seem to want to budge on the prices.

I'll bet it had to do with over-oiling the filter. That's the problem with most CAIs, People soak the filter and then it gets sucked into all the electronics. I have always lightly sprayed them and never had a problem.

Anderson Mazda in Lincoln is terrible!

I took my car in for the 'rotten eggs' smell from the exhaust and my brakes were squeeling really bad. After keeping my car a whole day they told me they don't fix the exhaust anymore because it doesn't help. Even though there is a TSB from Mazda on the issue.

And then they tried to blame my squeeling brakes on my aftermarket pads, after they had told me they needed to be replaced when I had taken it before for the brake issue. They told me they wouldn't even look at the brakes, because they weren't the ones who serviced them. And then they said that if I paid them to replace my brake pads (which were 3 months old) that they would then 'maybe' look at whatever was causing the squeeling problem. I am pretty sure this is direct violation of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, which explicitly states that a dealership can't refuse warranty service because of someone else performing maintenance or repairs.

Needless to say I was pissed... The other time I took my car in it took them over a week to fix the problem (my car wouldn't start in cold weather, they ended up replacing the PCM), even though the problem was a 'known issue' by Mazda.

I won't take my car there again unless I absolutely have to.

Thanks for the head up on Anderson! An hour drive to Woodhouse or Stan Olson or Sheridan might be the fix to your problems.

I second that. They told me the "clutch judder" was not a common issue, even after i told them about the TSB and that they can only replace my clutch if i wanted at my expense since its a wear item... yeah... this was with 18K on the car. I told them that my previous car a 94, firebird i put 80K miles without replacing the clutch... and that i know how to drive one (they thought that maybe it was my fault for wearing it so quickly)... "These modern cars have a much more sensitive clutch system." lol. I was four seconds from going off on the guy.

If i need something done, im taking it to omaha... anderson blows.
