Default 2003 6i ATX: Driver window stopped working

I apologize if there is an existing thread about this, but I haven't mastered the search function of the Autoguide app.

Our trusty 03 6i's driver window won't roll up or down. The other windows function via the driver switches. Do I need a whole new unit or is it just the one switch that went bad?

try this.

1. Disconnect battery
2. Reconnect battery
3. turn on car and hold the window switch up until you hear a clicking sound. Thats what I did on my 07.

Thanks for the recommendation, but nope it didn't work. I should have prefaced my message with the fact that I did try the reset procedure in the manual.

It's only the driver window that stopped working. Which sucks because then we look like hoods at drive thrus.

It's probably failed.. You can swap out the motor with the passenger rear door (they have flip flop compatibility) or replace the track/motor as per my DIY: DIY: Window Motor & Regulator Replacement

If the motor failed, I could test it by jumping a couple contacts on the plug going into the switch, no? If I jumped the driver down wire and it didn't go down, then I could assume the motor is bad. Anyone know how I might jump it to bypass the switch?

I picked up a master switch off eBay for $30. I guess out of laziness, I hadn't tested the current at the motor before. Turns out the sucker is getting voltage at the motor, so I'm guessing it is dead. I'll follow the DIY and swap out the motor tomorrow. Thanks Drizzoh.
