Looks like a good job

Did you connect wires for speed sensor, parking brake, reverse gear ?

If you did - can you provide details of the colors of the wires and where to find them ?

I'm REALLY curious on your install as I'm looking into putting the F90BT into my 09... Do you know if the facia plate you bought from the ebay store in london will fit the USDM? (maybe could you measure top/bottom so I can compare) It looks super clean and exactly how I want my install to look!!

Hi

There is no speed sensor on the Bose equipped Mazda 6's, something to do with the Bose system, theres info about it in the PDF I linked to at the bottom of my How2, the parking brake wire is simply grounded and I havent connected the reverse wire as I have no reverse camera installed, but again it details it in the PDF.

Hi, as far as I know the stereo fascias are common across all continents, i'm sure you can buy them in the US, try Crutchfield.

I have installed a JVC system (KW-NX7000) in my Mazda6..... I changed the top display so TripComputer is working and I changed the Steering wheel controls so I got the "Info" button..... but pressing on in doesn't change the Trip info....it just stays on the Consum/100 km setting.....

Did you get your steering wheel controls changed yet and did you get it to work ?

Everything else works like a dream

Cheers from Denmark

Hi

Yes I did it today and it works brilliantly. You need to get the adaptor cable, this plugs inline with the display connector, and then a single brown wire runs to the steering column and goes inline with the connector there. The Mazda part no. you need is : GS1DV6609 (this is a Uk part no. but should be the same elsewhere).

If you have a look here you can see the display side of the adaptor :

If you need help let me know.

Cheers

Just a heads up. The F series knows if your actually parked. Not only can it sense the parking brake, but there is also a built in gyro sensor and the GPS will know when your moving

The geniuses at Pioneer are also well aware that people don't spend $1000+ to watch videos and use the GPS when the car is in park/ebrake is on... if they did it wouldn't be so easy to bypass and/or there would be software locks on certain features. It knows, yes, but it doesn't care, and it's programmed not to care

Whether the head unit knows the car is stationary or not it makes no difference, the Nav still works 100%, in fact everything works 100%

Its supposed to work. Its any viewing of other video sources, except rear view camera input, that wont work.
