Hi All, so at the ripe age of 36, I am apparently turning into a really old fart.

Play the FM radio and the subwoofer is thumping so hard that the plastic deck that the contains the unit between the rear seats and the trunk makes a rattle. Fixed the ipod equalizer to essentially nothing and that helped a little. Now on FM or Sirius still here the rattle from the woofer. Base is at "zero" or sometimes I have to take the setting to "minus 1" through "minus 3" on the audio settings. Centerpoint is on, fade is at "zero"

Thoughts? Do I just have to listen to AM radio now - anyone having the same issue?

Thanks in advance for your time.

I think mazda used cheap plastic to hold that piece in place (go figure). Mine rattles everytime I go over a bump. I have not checked to see if it is covered under warranty. I'm considering just supergluing the POS down.

I'm thinking that's where my slight occasional rattle is coming from also....I don't have BOSE either. I've been thinking of calling the dealer to check about warranty also on this

Is the GT sub the same as in the GT with deluxe package (I know the deluxe package has 10 speakers, but it is still just one sub)? Mine doesn't rattle at all and I have the bass set at +2.

Turn off the Center Point setting and see if you like the other choice better.

Like I mentioned in a different thread. Center-Point only works for audio/MP3 CDs.
