I connected the Neo iPod adapter to my 2006 Mazda6 V6 and the head unit just doesn't seem to be able to identify the iPod adapter at all.

I have the stock audio system, no BOSE and no CD changer just a single disk.

When I plug in my ipod it does turn on and it says ok to disconect but I can't find a way to switch the head unit into cd changer or aux mode.

Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks in advance.

You did hit the CD button twice didn't you? If the head unit is in a mode other than CD, you have to press the CD button twice to activate CD changer mode. That's how it works on my '06 with the changer. Maybe single disc is different?

I spoke with Neo support, they are shipping me a new unit. Although the folks at mp3yourcar.com said that they have had a few issues with Mazdas that do not have a CD changer, I will keep you guys posted.

Tried the replacement adapter this weekend, no go, seems like the issue is that the single CD head unit has a cd changer input in a different place. I found a cable in the trunk that is intended for am OEM cd changer which connects to head unit along with all the other speaker cables, so the head unit is expecting the cd changer input to come from somewhere else....or so thats the way it seems.

Oh well another mod goes down the drain because Mazda took a shortcut.
