Thumbs up

I'm a new owner of an "07" Mazda 6 with a CD player. According to the owners manual, I should simply push and hold "Load" button, and load up to 6 CD's. Mine only loads one. If I push and hold the "Load" button, I get nothing. No response. Is this just a basic CD player, or is mine broke?
Mine is not an "Mp3" player.

I don't have the MP3 version but for me I throw in a disc... wait 5 seconds or so... hit load and then just keep doing it. If that doesn't work you might be taking a trip to the dealer.

Do you know what trim level your car is? 4cyl or V6? If you have the CD changer, there should be a small logo under the load button that dictates 6 Disc capability. I have one on my head unit and have the changer. The lower trim level cars only came with a single, non-MP# head unit, but Mazda left the Load button in place.

I could be dead wrong but I think all 2007-2008 6's have a changer because that's all I could find when I was shoppin' for my 6. But who knows.

Sorry, but this is wrong. The base model 6 has a single CD player only. The Value Edition 6 and some of more expensive models come with the 6CD Upgraded stereo. The picture shown does not have the multiple CD logo and is therefore the basic single CD model.

If the OP wants a 6CD changer, I may have mine for sale soon, when I get a new system (hopefully within the next week or two.) It is the non-Bose Upgraded 6CD changer and it is barely used since I just recently bought my 2008 Mazda 6. It should be a direct swap for the 2007 basic unit. I am not sure how much to ask for it, but I will take whatever is fair since I won't be needing it anymore.

Don't hold the load button just hit it once and the screen should flash "Wait" a couple of time the it will read "in" this is where you insert the cd then repeat for more disks.

Well if you examine the two pics, one from OP car and the other you notice that in the right corner by the load button it says 6 disk, but in the OP it is not there. It may just be a single dick player. I have noticed that the face usually looks the same for both. Mind you I have the 2004 with bose 6 disk.

Ah.. thx for the quick replies. So I have a single unit.
Since the wife is interested in Sirius radio, I may look into it. Is it easy to add satellite radio, or should I have someplace like Best Buy do it?
Oh.. and what is "Media" button for?
