Hi,

I've just got my new Mazda 6 2008. Mine comes with the basic audio system with 6 CD Changer. (Non-BOSE)

Anyone knows what is the original audio system? Brand/Model?

I'm thinking of the possibilities to add in a sub-woofer and amplifier. Hmm, if possible, maybe replace the whole basic system with the BOSE system which is only available for higher end models. (Doing it this way is a lot cheaper) ;-)

I'm wondering what are the options in enhancing the basic audio system.. Any suggestions?

I'm normally a big fan of Alpine and Rockford Fosqate.. Would also be nice if I can add/replace with the BOSE system..

Anyone know the possibilities? and options?

Hi cherryspeed,

What you've done is really impressive. Thanks for the great link. From some of the links in your post, I saw some comments that the original BOSE System is not great afterall. I'm wondering if it's the same with the Generation 2 Mazda 6? Hmm, I'm seriously thinking to convert my basic system to it. Well, if not the complete system, maybe only the Sub-Woofer.. I like the idea of the subwoofer mounted in the spare tyre space.. cool isn't it?

Anyone has comments or experience on the G2 MAzda6?

hey, by the way..interesting battery you have in the how-to post. Is it a sealed case or just screw-in caps?
