I've got 52000 kms so far so I decided to change my cabin air filter and engine air filter. I expected the cabin filter to be dirty but not this bad. SKANKY !!!! It looks like something was eating it on the upper left corner. I could feel a noticable difference in the volume of air after the change. I think I will need to change it every 25000 kms by the looks of this. Thought I would just pass it on.
PS..Oh ya, the parts manager said that this was the "first" cabin filter he has sold in 2 years !!! [attachment=24525 SC00155.jpg][attachment=24524 SC00156.jpg]

I thought mazda changed the cabin air filter at regular intervals as part of regular maintenance. 12 months 20,000 kms? AT the very least they should "check" it and notice that it is discustingly filthy.
Ditto on the engine air filter. I know they are suposed to do that. Check at 24k replace at 48k. I would be looking through my past records to see when they said they "checked" it.
