Hey dudes,
I was driving to work today and noticed one of those digital speed readouts on the side of the road...you know the ones that show everyone else your speed as well lol Anyway, I thought...okay I'll see just how accurate this thing is. So I sat it right on 60kph and the reading appeared at 52-53kph. Now I understand that most new cars have their speedos adjusted in order to slow people down etc but 7kph?? Does this sound about right was there something wrong with the massive speed monitor on display? Or even something wrong with my speedo even? I'm sure some of you guys have seen these and tested so await your input. Cheers. |

The readout of speed can depend on the angle at which you are to the sensor, it can be off a few mph or kph in your case. Try and drive as staright at the readout as possible and see if the reading gets better.
It could be a combination of your spedo being off 1-2mph and the readout being off a few more as well.
