Gday all,

Due to the lack of activity on these forums, I thought I'd post about this and I recommend everyone do it if you like it.

I bought an RX-8 Shifter (the screw-in knob) off ebay for $120, apparantly Mazda quote $300+ to buy it and being a massive RX-8 fan, I couldn't resist!

I am happy to report that it looks absolutely awesome and thumbs up to Mazda for making them all compatible! Fits perfectly and looks much better than the standard Mazda 6 one (but it's personal preference and I love it!) Looks much more sporty too so I'm real happy with it!

If anyone here thinks it sounds like a good idea and want to do it, have a look on ebay (don't pay $300+ for one from Mazda) and you don't have to worry about it fitting because the part that screws in is exactly the same as the Mazda 6 one.

I definately recommend it as it is comfortable as well! Leather feel to it etc.

Anyway, just thought I'd share that as I'm bored at work and I know I was excited when I heard about it so maybe a handful of people here will be too!

Cheers

I asked the service manager for the RX8 shift knob and he quoted me $165 - 10% = $148.50
