Location of transmission drain plug-Mazda 6s 2005

Hi,

I need to find the location of the transmission drain plug. I want to drain and refill my ATX at every oil change for the next year or so but could not figure it out.
Any pics/diagrams?
It should be the same as the 2006 adn 2007 6s model

However the ATX change for 6s seems to have been written in 2004. So it does not cover the 2005-2008 version where the tramsmission was changed

Any other clue where I could find an article related to ATX fluid change for Mazda 6s 2005 wagon?

The '05 6-speed drain plug is immediately inside the driver's side front wheel about 12" or so. It is the only hex/Allen head plug facing downwards, so you won't miss it. Sears (and others) sell a 10mm hex socket, or you can just use a 10mm Allen wrench.

The fill plug is kinda under the air box. It can be seen without removing the airbox- just look behind the airbox a bit. It is also a 10mm hex head so you might as well just pick-up the 10mm socket and use it on an extension for the fill plug.

Refill is very straight forward since the dip-stick tube is not also the fill point. That keeps you from having fluid running down the inside of the tube and screwing with your reading.

If you need to know how much fluid Mazda recommends after a drain, just let me know- I've also got an '05 wagon and the factory manual.

MAKE DAMNED SURE YOU GET THE CORRECT FLUID! IT IS TOYOTA T-IV.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you're just doing the drain/refill method, the tranny will need just under 4qts.(3.25-3.75qts) IIRC.

I have a 2007 wagon, with the 6spd auto trans....
Do I have a filter to change out as well in the pan, or is it just drain and refill??

Also, what about the rest of the fluid trapped in the radiator and all the inner works??

Is the Redline fluid better than the stock stuff?
I'm in SoCal, and mostly drive in heat, not cold.
